Placenta Encapsulation Service

Benefits

The placenta is an incredible organ!  It is created by a pregnant person's body for the purpose of nourishing their growing child.  Your placenta is full of vitamins, minerals, and hormones that can assist your recovery from childbirth, and even benefit hormonal balancing later in life.

Possible benefits you may feel with the practice of placenta consumption include:

  • Iron supplement after blood loss during birth

  • Vitamin B supplement and an increase in energy

  • Stabilize hormones

  • Natural pain relief

  • Reduce postpartum bleeding

  • Help recovering from gestational diabetes

  • Help establish healthy milk supply

  • Lessen risk of postpartum depression

Preparation

Your placenta will be dehydrated and put into capsules for you to take as you rest and recover.

Dehydration can be done with a raw or steamed placenta.

During steaming, herbs such as ginger, lemon, and spicy peppers may be used, if desired. The properties imparted by these herbs are believed to restore the warmth that is lost following childbirth and to rebalance the immune system.  These herbs are placed in the water and will not be included in your capsules. This method yields slightly less capsules.

Plancentas may also be dehydrated raw. This method will retain a higher amount of nutrients

and will yield slightly more capsules.

Please contact me for information on contraindications if you have any medical conditions.  Some conditions may affect your options for preparation methods.

A small piece of your placenta can also be made into a tincture by alcohol extraction.  This medicine has many additional benefits.  Tinctures have an indefinite shelf life is stored properly.

  • Placenta print in the colors of your choice

  • I will be on-call to pick up your placenta shortly after birth and will deliver your preparations.

  • Herbal sitz bath for perineal recovery

  • I will be on-call to pick up your placenta shortly after birth and will deliver your preparations.
